March is a list-making month
new chores in the midst of the transitional season

marveling at the daffodils ,checking for the crocus
at the edge of the driveway

between ours and Cindy Windy’s house.
All my garden aspirations bloom

with late winter rains, the rumble of spring
and hope that sprouts with tiny purple flowers.
