there again a mediation on water and on walking

the Sunday sun paints stars on southerly drifting water ripples, then devoured by the boat’s edge

as Saturn eats his son as black holes overtake
light on the event horizon

and I rely again on the dreams of fish
at rest and always on the move

the way old school marms really run things
from inaccessible bunker offices deep
in the belly painted the color of democracy
