Watchman’s Journal 24 Apr 22: day after Thunder

No one complains about trash left by the majority of tourists as much as they complain about the trash left by a fraction of street folks.

That includes the tourists who live at the edge of the county and only come downtown to abuse it in the name of a good time.

solstice eve cloud cover illuminates
gentrifier tunnel vision looking through
the man passed out shoes off
hiding behind yesterday’s coffee cup

two days ago the old woman
wanted me know how cold she was
placed two black fingers on my neck said See?

and of course I already knew
/bone cold has a smell/

in return I warned her off
THIS IS NOT A SAFE PLACE
