These poems are what Mick calls retreads. “I decided to go back and look at poems I wrote 10 years ago, 20 years ago. That’s not normal for me. I’m normal looking forward all the way. But it was interesting to go back and read myself through a different lens and I realized there were things in some of the poems that still had something to say. So I revised them. A few of them are almost complete rewrites.”
