oye! the great blue heron
appeared tonight–
her first visit in a year – just a
‘ hey I’m here’ then flapping
those giant wings, catching the wind
and away
before I could ask
‘what news?’

Featured Poet @ The MOTR, Cincinnati, OH!
I am super stoked to be this month’s featured poet at the monthly WORD OF MOUTH at Cincinnati’s MOTR PUB, located at 1345 Main Street.
Here is a little about the storied monthly reading:
Word of Mouth was founded in 2014 by poets Mark Flanigan and Jim Palmarini, inspired by the late poet and co conspirator Aralee Strange. Word of Mouth asks poets of all persuasion to show up, mouth off, and listen.
I’ll have a few copies of 92 Tanka and God’s Tired Plumbers for sale there at slightly reduced prices. Payment accepted by Venmo only, please.
