a treatise on unseen stars

all storm showers and dark and the threat of more / this the lonely hours / the early hours / if I still drank I’d stop off for a beer and a shot and welcome them / the lonely hours when the bar lights begin to dwindle as dying stars / on a night when faith alone holds the stars undying above / far from the reckoning rain

Day 73, 2023

what then
on this crisp night

what turns the stars
they make

unshakable
in the wake of tugs

of jake break echoes
on the interstate

Far stars and dust

Unfortunately
the world is always on fire,
far stars dazzle and call.
But our feet?
Still all dust crusted.
