downtown hotels are all nice and not in the same way: minimal and easy to care maintain
like an architect’s concept drawing designed
for faceless figurines dressed like characters
in a Sunday School reader. the wide angle pic
is always always perfect then there’s
the busted bathroom door knob about to
fall off so much that you worry
shutting the door to shit thinking
‘this is how I die…’

[putting on the dog 2] liar she said
you just lied jingle jangling
her track license all privilege n pomp
like some Catherine the Great caricature
having to park with the proles
and maybe miss her horse slip
in the sloppy track
